Absorbent incontinence products

Absorbent products help with urinary and faecal incontinence – discreetly, reliably and delivered to your home every month at the time you choose.

Incontinence has a strong effect on well-being, both physically and in everyday contact with other people. Absorbent incontinence products (saugende Inkontinenz) solve many of these problems and are therefore an essential part of treatment; your doctor can prescribe them. Our aim is to provide products that give you as much support and independence as possible.

Types of product

Incontinence pads

Pads (Einlagen) are a discreet aid for light incontinence. An adhesive strip holds them in normal underwear; an absorbent core takes up to about 500 ml and locks it in without odour. Pads specially shaped for men and for women are adapted to their anatomy.

Pants

Incontinence pants are put on like underwear and look very similar to it. Thanks to the built-in absorbent pad, active people in particular can rely on discreet, secure protection; the superabsorbent holds the liquid even under pressure.

Shaped pads and fixation pants

If pads do not absorb enough, shaped pads (Vorlagen) can help. They are worn with fixation pants or mesh pants. This combination is much more absorbent, takes up to about 1,200 ml and is suitable for moderate to severe urinary and faecal incontinence.

All-in-one briefs

All-in-one briefs (Windelhosen, Slips) absorb up to three litres of liquid and are recommended for severe urinary and faecal incontinence. Adhesive tabs at the sides fasten them at the waist. You can put them on yourself; they are mostly used in the care of people who are bedridden.

• age-related weakness of the bladder muscles
• psychological causes
• neurological conditions such as paraplegia, multiple sclerosis, spina bifida or Parkinson’s disease
